Malus 'Rudolph' has perhaps the largest flowers of any crab-apple, they can be up to 5cm across, and are an intense dark pink colour.
In contrast the fruits are small and berry-like, and an attractive orange colour, and they will persist on the tree well into late autumn, gradually turning darker.
The leaves are bronze/purple when young.

If you do not hear from us by March you can contact us to pre-order for next autumn.
Like many of the bronze or purple-leaved crab-apples, Malus Rudolph is susceptible to fireblight, although this is not usually an issue for UK growers.
Malus Rudolph was developed in Canada, and is related to Malus 'Niedzwetzkyana', from which it inherits the purple-tints in its leaves, blossom, and fruits.
