Shizuka - Fragrant Cloud

Prunus
Prunus Shizuka blossom
Shizuka - Fragrant Cloud has received the RHS Award of Garden Merit

Shizuka, or Fragrant Cloud, is a Japanese blossom tree which bears large clusters of bright white semi-double flowers.

Unusually for a flowering cherry the flowers have an enchanting fragrance.

In late autumn the leaves develop golden orange colours.

Shizuka grows quickly into a fairly large and impressive tree, with an upright spreading habit.
